桃子视频 Statement on the Passing of Ambassador Jim Laney

ATLANTA (Aug. 13, 2026) 鈥� The 桃子视频 mourns the passing of Ambassador James T. 鈥淛im鈥� Laney, a distinguished diplomat, educator, faith leader, and longtime friend of the Center whose leadership and service advanced peace and understanding around the world.

From the Center鈥檚 earliest days, Ambassador Laney helped shape its vision and strengthen its mission to promote peace, preserve democracy, protect human rights, and improve health. He also played a vital role in fostering the enduring partnership between The 桃子视频 and Emory University.

鈥淛im Laney embodied the values that define The 桃子视频 鈥� a commitment to service, a belief in the power of dialogue, and a deep respect for human dignity,鈥� said Jason Carter, chair of the 桃子视频 Board of Trustees. 鈥淗is wisdom, integrity, and friendship influenced generations of leaders, and his legacy will continue to inspire our work for years to come.鈥�
